Aim
The aim of the project is to build up a Transnational Network (TN) in the specific domain of biotechnology and public health in order to pool innovate knowledge in this area of vocational training.
The Specific activities
The main goal and the type of HealthBiotech project body (Transnational Network) define its statute and specific activities:
Establishment of Virtual Transnational Center (BT-Health) and its infrastructure through bringing together experts and organizations specialized in the particular field of biotechnology and public health, as an actual measure to improve VET in this field.
Improvement of occupational skills and anticipated benefits of vocational training by means of:
- determination of training needs and improvement of analysis;
- definition of the typical entrants of the programme in terms of prior qualification;
- examination of occupational profiles in SMEs working in the field of public health and biotechnology;
- determination of the type of continuous training;
- assistance to trainers for decision making in terms of the type of training; assessment and validation measures.
Production and publishing of TN results/products in order to promote the created innovations and stimulate transnational cooperation in VET system.
Promotion of effective dissemination of networks’ outputs/results through:
- relevant channels and stakeholders in order to achieve a durable effect and post-project life cycle of TN;
- organizing of a second level net of institutions of interest as a help system to the basic TN consortium and creation of a strategy for continuation the public health and biotechnology TN activity after project expiration.
The Targets
The HealthBiotech project is related to interdisciplinary field of science, technology and education and targets a broad group of sectors, organizations, geographic areas and audience.
The target audience: young graduates, undergraduates from colleges and universities, managers and employees from SMEs, trainers and other learning facilitators, persons whose qualification needs updating; disadvantaged at the labor market people;
The target sectors: public health, medical biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, food industry, farming, agriculture, environment protection, waste and/or waste water treatment industry, industry of depollution and bioremediation;
The potential end-users: universities, colleges, initial/continuous training organizations, research/development centers, SMEs, formal / non-formal educational units, low-tech manufacturing units, other social and personal service providers.
The Project Products
The outcomes and results of the Transnational Network Project “Biotechnology and Public Health” have pooled innovative VET training policy and knowledge in this area and at the level of the related sectors and branches. The main project deliverables were built up through gathering and multiplication of expertise of 11 European partners, who have developed innovative approach in continuous training.
